Think of defining your clients as follows…
A = Awesome – B = Basic – C = Challenging – D = Disastrous
Take the time to jot down your criteria For each of the above.
For example A Grade clients might me ones that are willing to pay a reasonable price (=profit), come back often, pay their bill early or on time, refer others and so-on… Go through each of your clients in your database and categorise each of them according to your criteria.
Your next step is to take some ACTION to change things in your business, so you need to decide on an appropriate Action Plan. For example, Look at all your “A” grade clients and think about where you could find MORE of them. Look at your B’s and think about different ways to bring them up to “A’s”.
Look at your C’s and decide whether you want to keep them or improve their value to your business.
You may also like to consider referring your “D’s” on to your competitors so that they can send them broke instead of YOU!
The point is that a very interesting thing happens when you start to focus on exactly what it is that you want for your business. If you want it enough it will start to show up for you with amazing regularity! So whether it’s the type of client you want, the type of people you want working for you, or your profits, start focusing and planning some action, and you will be AMAZED at what you start ATTRACTING, and the OPPORTUNITIES that come along!
